When I think about the campers who will soon be running across the big field at Camp Squanto, exploring the beauty of creation along the lakeside, or zipping down the zip line, I am reminded all over again of the wonderful ways in which God seems to use camp to help his children grow. Each year, we celebrate the next steps of faith in Jesus Christ that take place here; maybe you, too, remember and celebrate the next step of faith that took place here for you or a loved one.

The grass is starting to green and the trees are beginning to bloom and soon things will transform dramatically and a summer filled with enormous potential for ministry will be upon us.

Our staff is busy preparing for this next season, prayerfully hiring summer staff, planning staff training, preparing our facilities, and fielding questions from parents interested in sending their children to camp. To say the least, we are excited for all that God has in store.

One barrier that Pilgrim Pines has chosen to eliminate as a reason for campers to not attend camp is the matter of finances. We feel strongly that every child deserves to experience the transformative growth that takes place at camp, regardless of his or her financial means. Last year alone, we awarded over $25,000 in scholarship funds to campers in need. What a gift that we were able to provide to so many.
