Re: Rest
Our theme this year is Re: Rest
We hope that you will be reenergized and restored as we regard rest with a renewed vision.
Our desire is that this year’s Ashram will be a response to Jesus’ call to
“Come away with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31
This year’s retreat will include plenty of space for you to connect with God and connect with colleagues.

Re:Connect
Our speaker/facilitators will help us to connect more meaningfully with God and with each other

Our Main speaker/facilitator is Tamara Fore-Ravello

Tamara F. Ravelo’s roots are the Quechan Indigenous Nation (pronounced Kwuh-tsan), where she proudly represents her Indigenous culture. Tamara’s grandmother, whose English name was Denise Dugan, was an Indigenous boarding school survivor, and she bears great influence on Tamara’s life and ministry today. Denise, a praying woman and a gifted seer in the land, first introduced Tamara to the medicine wheel as a young girl when they sat together on the corner wall of Pipa Market located on their reservation. From this long-held curiosity around medicine with her grandmother, Tamara would go on to learn the medicine for the soul. The kind of medicine that would come through preaching, teaching, and Indigenous healing ceremonial practices that have the power to transform those who experience it. Like her grandmother, Tamara loves prayer and creating spaces for others to heal; however, that healing may come.

Making full proof of her ministry and professional life, Tamara earned a master’s in business (MBA), is a Yale University MDiv graduate, and acquired her accredited diploma for congregational ministry from Andover-Newton Theological Seminary. She is a doctoral candidate at NAIITS (North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies), where she is widening her scholarship on Indigenous Healing Practices within Modern Faith contexts.

In her other life, she is a business administration guru and communications strategenious, specializing in marketing, branding, graphic design, web, publications, and other forms of media. In the fall of 2024, you can catch her on an on-demand TV show called “Transform Your Life” wherever you stream. Tamara doesn’t do it alone; she is wonderfully loved and supported by her husband, the esquire Michael Ravelo, her daughter Stephanie, and two grand-dogs, Koa and Louie.

Our morning session facilitators are Kimberly Wright and James Dennis
