SPEAKER: Dr. Devyn Chambers Johnson

Devyn is a pastor, wife, mother, speaker, professor, writer, and advocate. She is ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church and recently completed her doctorate at Virginia Theological Seminary. Devyn co-pastors Community Covenant Church in Springfield VA with her husband Ryan and is an adjunct Professor of Ministry at North Park Theological Seminary.

Devyn is passionate about communicating the word of God, leading change in congregations and systems, and lifting up the voices of the oppressed and underrepresented. In 2017, Devyn launched a grassroots movement called Four More Women in the Pulpit. The movement challenges male pastors to make room for women by inviting #fourmore women to preach in their congregations each year. Four More Women in the Pulpit has opened up doors for Devyn to counsel and coach both men and women. She leads cohorts and seminars for women pastors on how they can lead with courage and resiliency and regularly teaches and consults with male colleagues on ways they can lead their congregations to fully embrace the leadership of women.
